As I have the chance to watch CNN for about 3 hours a day this last 2 weeks between the national guard being sent to the mexican border and the 'occupation' of Iraq gets worse and worse everyday; I've been reminded of something.

There's a reason we separate military and the police: one fights the enemy of the state, the other serves and protects the people. When the military becomes both, then the enemies of the state tend to become the people.

This is not going to get better
